After a little break, as a blog we are excited to say so far, our blog is putting the real message on Sheldon Wasserman to the voters of the 8th Senate District.  Newspapers like Whitefish Bay NOW and Brookfield NOW have picked up our posts and now as a blog we have been successful in exposing the real side of Sheldon Wasserman. 

Since we broke the story that Wasserman is holding onto your tax dollars to launch a smear campaign on Senator Darling close to 300 people viewed this exclusive story.

Sheldon Wasserman Is Wasting Your Tax Dollars to Fund His Negative Campaign for State Senate

AN WASSERMAN WATCH EXCLUSIVE

On Friday, Wasserman Watch got hold of records from the Elections Division of the Wisconsin Government Accountablity Board that Sheldon Wasserman is using your tax dollars to fund a significant portion of his war chest for the State Senate Campaign against Alberta Darling.

Records from the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board show that Wasserman applied for the Wisconsin Election Campaign Fund (WECF) grant every two years since 1994, receiving a total of $21,459.20 from taxpayers.

 

The WECF is taxpayer money handed to candidates who agree to certain finance limits.  But, records show that Representative Wasserman was holding onto that money as a minature slush fund to help pad his current campaign finance account for the Wisconsin State Senate Campaign.

 

 Campaign finance records show that prior to the fall 2004 election, Wasserman had $138,416.68 in his campaign finance account when he applied for tax dollars to pad his campaign.  He received a check in the amount of $2,726.20.  During the campaign candidates usually spend down their warchests, but Wasserman actually grewhis warchest, showing $169,821.38 cash on hand after the election!  This seems to be a trend that some candidates are following when they have an assembly seat and go unopposed or win by wide margins, then when they do not spend the money a candidate would use it for a large scale race like State Senate after a candidate would serve 10 or 12 years in the Assembly.

Representative Wasserman since 1994 has used close to $22,000 of your hard earned tax dollars to fund a significant part of his war chest.  It is important to know that the $1 you check off on your tax forms to go to the State Elections Campaign Fund can be abused by career politicans in just the pure purpose of doing anything to stay elected.

Voters in the 8th Senate District Want Action Not Hyped Press Releases

Just this week the Wasserman Campaign again puts up another hyped press release claiming that they are gaining traction and response in the battle for the 8th State Senate District seat, but this last press release only offers a lot of hype and not a lot of action in the battle for the race. 

The latest publicity stunt press release said that Representative Wasserman walked in seven parades and delivered one baby in under 24 hours.   First, the stunt started on July 3rd in Menomonee Falls, then after the parade according to the Wasserman Campaign Press Release he got a call that one of his patients went into labor and he was off to deliver the baby.  Then the next day the Wasserman Camp hit Fox Point, Glendale,  Whitefish Bay, Germantown and Brown Deer, and  Shorewood. 

What should we decipher from this sideshow press release, nothing but hot air and hype claiming that shattering door knocking records and response from parade goers will determine his campaign standing, but when it comes down to business time then the voters of the 8th Senate District will decide which candidate Alberta Darling or Sheldon A. Wasserman will deliver on the issues.  The next time the Wasserman camp pulls something like this off, lets ask him where he really stands with the people of the 8th Senate District as really the 22nd Assembly District is his only base in a Republican dominated district.  Lets really ask him is he going to stand by what he says on his campaign website or we will see coming a fake republican who really claims he is a fiscal conservative, but only acts like one when plain every day voters last year and Americans for Prosperity told Rep. Wasserman to live up to his no tax pledge.  We have a long way to go, but do not be fooled by the Wasserman hype, this is just nothing.

RANGE PROTECTION

 Wasserman was one of only 18 Assemblymen to vote against protecting existing

firearm ranges from legal actions stemming from arbitrary noise or nuisance ordinances

PREEMPTION

: Wasserman voted against a bill that enacted state preemption of local gun ordinances that

are more restrictive than state law. The bill eliminated a patchwork of differing local ordinances that turned

citizens who hunt or own guns into unintentional law breakers.

CONCEALED CARRY:

Wasserman voted against Wisconsin joining 48 other states that allow its lawabiding citizens and families to defend themselves from violent attackers.

This is more acting extreme on Representative Wasserman’s part saying that he would be an effective State Senator and all the fancy quotes he says on his campaign’s website, but in action taking extreme actions against the citizens of Whitefish Bay, Shorewood, Glendale, and North Milwaukee that make up his Assembly district.  His record on guns is one truth on why he is not the kushy state representative we feel who can be a state senator, but the beginning to know he is just another hack in the Democrat Party who is willing to do anything to get himself elected.  Later this campaign season, Wasserman Watch will go beyond his past voting record to show why his extreme actions are out of touch with people in Whitefish Bay, Meqoun, Brown Deer, River Hills, and Menomonee Falls.

 

Look Beyond the Statements of Rep. Wasserman to Know the Truth

When the Senate Campaign will now get into full gear now remember three statements you may see on Representative Wasserman’s website, and look at these statements before you may meet him at your local Fourth of July parade this weekend in Whitefish Bay or Brown Deer.

“Madison ‘politics as usual’ must end. My first priority has always been my constituents, and I work with both Democrats, Republicans and Independents to get results for our district.”

“I am a fiscal conservative and will continue looking for ways to cut government waste, while at the same
time prioritizing spending to cover essential needs.”

“Let local school boards, parents and teachers decide what is best for their schools.”

Look at these statements carefully and hear what Representative Wasserman has to say, then ask if Sheldon Wasserman at your next fourth of July Parade or when he comes knocking on your door if really means what he says running on the Democrat Ticket.  We know you will decide if he is doing anything to get himself elected.
